Bennet Vector 5.0, nasty Kingpin removed, better (Randall)? kingpin shown below Bennett one. Hanger bushing cups ground and polished, pivot point shaped and polished, gotta do what you can to save those bushings. see next picture for details.
King pin was removed by placing it on top of a vice with the jaws open to let the pin fall through, a tall 3/8" nut was put on the end of the king pin to save damage to it, (someone else may have a use for them ) and a few confident taps with a hammer will see it out (wear safety goggles please)
Randall Kingpin cut down to a shaft length of 65mm and inserted in to Bennett base plate using Loctite 243, cut end of kingpin laquered to prevent corrosion.
Khiro White barrel one on left is cut down about 2-3mm to adjust the stack height of the bushings under the hanger.
Large washer, white cone, white cut down barrel, Orange cone, small washer.
Large washer, White Cone and barrel with hangerin place, note how much kingpin thread there is; or is not as the case may be
with Orange cone and small washer.
The complete truk assembled there is none or at the least very little thread that can make contact with the bushings, I have done over 130 miles on this set up with no damage to the bushings or kingpin.
