Fernandes brewer Dave James welcomes Wakefield and adopted Leeds CAMRA members to what has been his kingdom. Photographing Dave James is usually about as difficult as photographing a cat - you know how they insist on lifting their tails and turning their backsides towards you. On this historic occasion, however Dave is wonderfully relaxed.
Wakefield CAMRA member George Denton for whom the building also holds many memories as he began his working life here when it was the bottling store for Beverleys Brewery
It was all tinged with moments of reflection for Dave.
