Le Blockhaus - 30th Aug 2009

The Bunker of Éperlecques (French: Le Blockhaus d'Éperlecques) was built by Nazi Germany under the code name Kraftwerk Nord West (KNW) (Powerplant Northwest)[4] to be a V-2 rocket launching bunker. The site was an Operation Crossbow bombing target and was never completed, and V-2s were instead launched from mobile batteries. Root visited in Aug09 and found it an excellent visit with a winding trail passing historic relics though the forest meaning the Blockhouse is hidden until you walk out into the large clearing.

Paris above ground 17th & 18th June 2008

After a catacombs trip I had most of 2 days to explore Paris, France. So I jumped on the Metro and headed for the Louvre Museum. I wandered about finding it was shut on Tuesdays, wandered about the waterways and spent several hours walking across to the Eiffel Tower. After which I headed for the nearest Metro and back to the Hotel. Day 2 back to the Louvre to find it open. I spent my 9euros and in I went. Its all paintings! Not a single dino!
