Cambridge-to-Reach fun ride, May 4, 2009
In this yard: Many chickens, two turkeys, a peacock, two pigs, and one trampoline. The kid jumping on the trampoline in his underpants had left by the time I got my camera out.
At the Reach fair
The sign reads: "Win a coconut. Kick the ball through the tyre." If that's not proof that you don't really need a prize to get people to pay money to kick a football, I don't know what is.
Cream tea served in the Reach parish church between 2-4 p.m.
Fancy dress contest -- ages 0-5. We thought the muffin man (in red in the hat holding a tray of muffins) should have won. A baby dressed as Little Boy Blue won. Rigged, I say.
