Chaos at the Cambridge train station in the morning.
What we really needed was a few freight cars.
Pre-sweat!
People registering and getting ready.
A group of guys did the ride in tutus. They show up periodically throughout the ride.
On your mark, get set ...
Go!
The guys in tutus passed us ...
and then stopped later on to take a leak.
Lunch break at The Brewery Tap in Furneux Pelham (yes, that's a village name)
We rounded a corner and this chicken was standing in the middle of the road.
THAT was a beautiful sight. 10 miles? No problem. The "40 miles to go" sign -- I flipped that one off.
Still haven't looked up what this is. ET, phone home?
5 miles to go! And a storm coming in. We started sprinting at this point. Or, well, as much as we could after already going 50 miles.
"Welcome to Cambridge" -- what a beautiful sight.
Not so easy to take a self portrait while riding a bike.
I can't even tell you how happy I was to see that finish line.
Not so many folks were left by the time we finally crossed the finish line.
Ahhh.
