The TV Tower - built by the East German authorities in the 1960's, this is the 4th tallest free-standing structure in Europe..and was meant to be a symbol of Communist power - that cannot be missed from the Western side of the city !
Berlin - 2009 Berlin - once the opulent capital of Prussia and later the nerve-centre of the Hitler's 'Third Reich' ! Completely laid to waste by World War 2, the city rose up from its ashes, only to be torn apart by the Berlin wall ...and the Soviet-American Cold War ! With the fall of the wall in 1989 and the re-unification of Germany, Berlin regained its spot on the map as one of Europe's leading cultural and economic centres !
